How to Heal Wounds Fast!

Dealing with cuts, scrapes, and small wounds is so frustrating!

It is even more irritating when you are a practitioner of combat sports like wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and Muay Thai. Most of us have to go back to work in the morning with questionable marks on our face and people asking questions.

I have been training in combat sports for about 10 years and some change. I will be very honest with you, I love it more now, than I did when I first started. For those of you who do not train, YET, it is similar to playing chess with human bodies. This is still a contact sport. You will get hurt and you will get injured like in any other sport. The strategy behind every move is riveting! How many times can you hit without getting hit is the name of the game!

When you get scratched by a spazzy White Belt or a classmate who forgot to trim their fingernails (Trim your nails people!) What can you do to protect your skin and facilitate a speedy and healthy recovery?

I am going to give you a few tips to heal your wounds fast!

  1. Keep the cuts, scrapes, and small wounds clean throughout the day

  2. Consider keeping the cut covered with a bandage if it is on an area that is prone to getting dirty

  3. Eat healthy clean foods to speed up the recovery process

  4. Getting a lot of rest and sleep ~8 hours is ideal. (If you have the luxury)

  5. Drink plenty of water to keep your hydration and your skin looking fresh

  6. My favorite is to apply a protective healing ointment that keeps your skin moist and helps with softening your scabs and dry skin.

The healing ointment is my favorite because it ensures my skin will look supple and hydrated in the morning and throughout the day. However, this should always be paired with the rest of the tips I mentioned to guarantee a healthy comeback.

I am leaving a link below to one of the best healing ointments on the market. Do yourself a favor and get some for yourself.
